Laser Treatments

Skin tightening, rejuvenation, vascular, and scar work. Device selection and energy settings are matched to skin type — what works on one skin tone can cause problems on another.

01
What this is

Laser is not a single procedure — it's a family of devices, each tuned to a different target: water in the skin (resurfacing), blood vessels (vascular), pigment (lentigines, tattoo), or hair follicle. Pulse width, wavelength, and energy are chosen for skin type and concern.

02
What this addresses
  • Skin tightening and texture, including non-ablative fractional
  • Vascular lesions: telangiectasia, rosacea-related redness, port-wine stains
  • Pigmented lesions and sun spots on appropriate skin types
  • Acne scarring (fractional resurfacing) and surgical scar revision
  • Hair reduction
03
What to expect
  1. 01 Test spot first when treating in skin types IV–VI or with newer device combinations — a small area, 2–4 weeks of observation, then the full plan.
  2. 02 Most patients need a series: 3–6 sessions, 4–6 weeks apart, depending on the indication.
  3. 03 Redness, warmth, and mild swelling are expected for 24–72 hours. Sun protection during the series is mandatory.
  4. 04 Some lasers are contraindicated on tanned skin; visits are scheduled around season and travel.

Safety and contraindications

Skin-of-color laser work is a specialty within a specialty. Wrong device and wrong settings can cause hyperpigmentation, burns, or permanent textural change. Patient selection and device selection are the entire safety story.
